I've finished compiling a list of covers found here at bandAmp, there are more covers posted but these were the first and better ones to come out of my search.
I was thinking at the time that a BandAmp Album of Covers would be a cool idea....I still do, along with many other compilations of the excellent music found here.

Interesting Thread.

I love the Idea and would definitely be up for it bar one massive challenge and that is publishing it.

A few months ago I wanted to publish all my Jazz renditions, the bottom line is that you have to obtain the correct license and it's not cheap, or you can get a license for cutting a limited amount of CD's for a reasonable amount of money.

In many instances you have to pay the copyright holders in advance.

Every country has different rules, it's really challenging to obtain the information. Well at least that's what I found.

If anyone on the AMP has published a covers album, it will be very interesting to see how they got it published and how much it cost.

There would be no harm in setting up a covers section on the AMP

I did not get as far as publishing it...true it would be against every copyright law ever scribed.
Subconsciously I'm still looking to get an 'Albums' section/function on the site, like the 'playlist' page but more of them where members could make their own albums of their bandAmp favorites.
