Substitute (Who Cover)
*

This song is not in a battle

The latest song in the Weird Habitz repertoire!  Apart from the guitar solo (which is pants - but I've not spent any time on actually working one out yet), this doesn't sound too bad to my ears.
Any thoughts?

After this one (another cover) I really must finish and load some of my original stuff.  I've spent too long on learning other people's music - I guess when you're in a cover band, that's what you have to do!!!

Cheers

Yeah nice cover.
How did you do the Drums?
Is the Bass a sample, it's sounds pretty good.
The vox are nice, apart from the high notes, they seem a bit forced.
The guitar lead not bad, just your timing is a bit off.
Overall it sounds great, very good production.

Look forward to hearing some more geezer!!

Thanks for the comments guys... I've done little in terms of post recording production on this - listening to it again, it may have benefited from a bit of compression or hard-limiting to give it a bit more punch.

Denis, the drums and bass are both VSTs, I just did the programming for each.  I use EZ drums and Manybass (when I can't be bothered to actually learn and properly record the bass-line).  Both VSTs give fairly realistic sounding instruments.  There's an organ in there too, which was another VST - this time MAudio Keyrig (which I got with the keyboard)
And yes I did push my vocals a little in his one, so I guess there are times when it's a bit close to my upper (non falsetto) range.

Nice cover tune job. I haven't herd that in years. I sure respect someone who is not worried about all that and just puts it up there! Good work!

Nice job.  Guitar solo didn't sound bad at all.  Good energy and great vocals.

Cool cover!  If you want I could record some real drums for this and you could repost it!
