I've seen a lot of threads on here about this, but I actually want to get this going. I'm able to submit albums to Amazon, iTunes without a problem. I was thinking the proceeds could be donated to a certain charity (as I think it would be difficult to pay every individual member). I'd prefer if active members contacted me. I think it'd be a great exposure for you, and that certain song. If you want to volunteer, just send 1 or 2 tracks to me with it's information...

But by active what do you mean?
Actively submitting music?
Actively critiquing music?
Actively logging in?
etc.
And which charity?
Can the proceeds go to multiple charities?

Charities that appeal to me are generally for the poor in Africa and any Cancer research.
I'll send you two songs, it's best sent in wav format, When I uploaded my album to Tunecore, it needed to be in wav format, although you could still convert mp3 to wav, best at 360 bitrate.
We'll also need Album ART.
Perhaps let the members choose which songs, with perhaps a charity type of song, One of my songs 'SAKE' which is an epic, might work, or we can set-up a thread and and members wishing to participate can submit their chosen tracks, then Members decide which ones to include.

These are all really good ideas (and that's a nice song). I like the idea of having an overall concept to the album. Hopefully we can get a few artists, and/or collaborations that we can include. Also, if anyone is good at creating decent album art, then that'd be great to do. This isn't hard to achieve with a little bit of effort from everyone.

Hey I'd love to be a part of this.....I'll have to check if I have any songs recorded that are CD - worthy...

The volume of everything just needs to be brought up.
(Which I can do I have the original Audacity project file)
EDIT: Quick update...I have increased the volume of all the tracks equally for it so its now listenable through laptop speakers instead of just headphones.

How about record a song you really like, it doesn't have to have charitable theme. There loads of songs about Love, you cant go wrong with that theme. It can be a cover if you dont have the time to create your own song.
