I made the tracklist based on the overall sound of the songs (ie which songs would sound best next to each other), and I tried to include everyone in. I made a playlist on iTunes, and it sou7nds really good to me. But, if you feel anything should be changed let me know.
fais I was going to suggest you made a playlist m3u in iTunes and post it somewhere......
I decided to do it my self......
Download M3U of playlist
You'll have to unzip it and point your player to the BandAMP_Playlist_01-10.m3u file
Probably under the option to 'Load Playlist...' in the File tab.
O! And you need to be on-line with a reasonably 'capable' computer.
And a good playlist it is too! Nice one fais

the list looks great!! tons of awesome tracks on it. this is gonna rock!!
just one pointer, can you make sure that my song "Better Than Green" gets the proper credit with the name "Walking Stereotype" instead of TheKunadiun...me and my friend did it..and so we want our band name there. You can put TheKunadiun in as well if that works or whatever so itll direct people to bandamp or something. just wanted to point that out

@ Iz + TheK ... The tracks are placed in the same order as fais posted them on page 5 http://forum.bandamp.com/The_Pit/25699_page5.html#id26021
I also realised that there was no track info.............reason............mp3s are stripped of tags on upload, info is kept as xml file ................
OK!..... eg Audio review page is 12345.html, the mp3 is 12345.mp3 and the 'tag data' is 12345.xml, I know how to access the mp3 (with m3u) but I dont know yet how to join the mp3 and it's xml tag data.
When you download a song you will notice in the status bar that the call is to a php file, I presume that the "grab" function grabs the mp3 and the xml and joins them again so you download an mp3 with tags.
But calling the bare mp3 off the server like this gives you just that, an mp3 with no tags.
Anyway it's just so that you can hear the 'track list' as it would be.
This is just the m3u file (not zipped)
Open it up in notepad and you'll see ti's just a bunch of addresses

I wasn't planning on submitting it using BandAMP usernames, although that would be pretty cool in my opinion. Say if people discover the site from the album - they cna find the members that created the songs. I may also use the actual artists names r just list it as 'Various Artists'.

Thats weird, I usually get something like 'I_Love_You' or 'Better_Than_Green'. But, I edited the tag info on my playlist, so maybe I'll put that up as well.
Also, on another note, I know MeowMachine may be working on something, but I'm also pretty good on photoshop, so I can see if I can create something that looks cool.
What are we calling this?
heres some of my ideas:
BandAMP Surprise
BandAMP.com The Album, Part 1
Fade to the AMP
The 5th Page
BandAMP's Unknown Works
*one of the songs could be the title track so like BandAMP: The Spectacular Sunrise*
Well, Here you Go (A BandAMP Collection)
BandAMP: 2006-2010 *i cant remember that exact dates of the songs that are on here but something like that*
A Donkey for my Kingdom (A BandAMP Collection)
forum.bandamp.com/audioreview
The Audio Review (A BandAMP Collection)
The AMP part 1
bandamp the album: For Musicians by Musicians

true it could be taken as the death of the site...but I meant it to be like the years in which the songs were uploaded and its a collection of those songs from those times.
outsiders wouldnt get it at first and they wouldnt care cause its just the name but then they go to bandamp and realize how great bandamp is.
the amp volume 1 is a great title as well
