Kings,,, Not lost for words. Usually words are not hard for me to come up with, just don't want to upset anyone. Just a little frustrated that this Album has not come to be and seems to have died in its tracks because of a few problems and unsatisfied members.  Sometimes an emoticon says it all.  Wish I had the tech-smarts to step in and continue this to get the album put together myself.  Perhaps a better way to have done this would be to do a year by year BandAmp Album of the best 15 songs or so as voted on by the members. "BandAmp2009" "BandAmp2010"  That way we would not have to include songs by ex-members or inactive members or songs posted so long ago few have heard or remember them. And it should definatly be a "best of" compilation or a "battle winners" compilation and not a "sampling" of good and not-so-good postings.
I noticed Fais' last post on this thread was Jan 23rd as a "sleeping" emoticon.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Fais is just busy with other things right now and has not abandoned this project. I appreciate all he'd done trying to put this together and after 15 pages of discussion I would hate to see this all come to an end....Skunk

As far as money goes, you cant compare donations to a site to album sales.

The fish mentioned the upcoming discussion about earning money and costs of the project.

Donations and Sales money IS completely different. But gives all of us a view to a careful handle with money especially with that money what COULD be earned by selling a CD.
Who is the profiteer of this project?
Who's account is ment to be filled up?

I understand where you're coming from. There is no 'profiteer' per se. I don't know about any of the other albums people have cooking up for the site, but I was going to use the money from my album to donate to VH1's Save the Music Foundation - which is mentioned a few pages back. To answer fish, if we do only make $38 (although I doubt it) I'm sure that small amount can help the cause at hand.
