KK *gotcha buddy...... because  those aren't my fav choices, just some ideas....
so I will make a list of my 5 favorite...... when should we do this....?  Now?
Thanks bro!

Cool..Yeah ,one thing though just to make sure you got it, you don't have to suggest 5 for the list its whatever you want..You have to select 5 in choice order from the list I will send next weekend which will include everyones suggestions so the more there are the harder it is to select...

Hotel California is not that hard to play it's all pretty much basic chords and it doesn't move that fast.

and, oh.. I think we should do a song that everybody has heard before. Like an old classic song.. It has to be at least 30 years old.   Something something Dylan or Beatles or something like that..
And also it has to be a pretty simple song with at least 4 or 5 verses, so that everybody gets to sing

I'm up for playing a bit of guitar. That or hitting on a box or something....
Unless there's already too many people saying "guitar or hitting a box for me please".
I'll bring what I can to it.
AS for song suggestions,

Ash Grunwald - Serious

The Cat Empire - The Chariot.

Both are really cool to jam along to, lots of opportunities for a break down and box drum soloing. The styles would probably work with a large array of instruments as well.
You've been added!

Cheers Buddy.

Ok then I make my suggestions too because I think I haven't done that yet,

I've been envisioning Sweet Dreams (are made of this) (Eurythmics), and Everybody Knows (Leonard Cohen) because it has lots of lyrics (and they're great lyrics too) and harmonies in the choruses.. It's just a great song.

These songs will require quite some re-arranging of instrumentation ofcourse, less so for another song I really love, Lovesong (The Cure) which has quite some cool guitar parts in it. And enough lyric lines I guess.

None of these songs are probably going to be the one but hey!

"Sweet dreams, are made of these,
Travel the world and the seven seas
something something
everybodys looking for something"

almost right. it's

"Sweet dreams are made of this,
who am I to disagree?
Travel the world and the seven seas,
everybody's looking for something..."

It has a lot of cool vocal bits in it (for the ladies) and musically it isn't complicated, there's room for solos too and stuff. Oh well lol

Videoing yourself
Hey for those that do not have a video camera other than your mobile, most digital cameras have video and you can normally set it up on fine mode to get a decent recording.  If your camera does not have audio I suggest that when you video yourself, set up your recording device, and say clap 4 times in front of the camera, in doing so you will be able to near as dam it sync the video with your audio.

If it has not been mentioned yet to get the best results from your video please also record it on your recording device. You don't have to sinc it up if you don't know how to, basically depending on your video editing software you simply match the wav from the video audio and your recording device audio.  There again if you don't have the tools, I will do it. Oh and record it dry, in that way the reverb and any other effects I use will be the same, it will sound a lot better. you can add compression, but don't over do it.
