Learning FL Studio
I dont have enough time to put together a tutorial with my crazy schedule right now but Ive been working with FL Studio for about 5 years now and know it pretty well.  If anyone has any specific questions or needs a few pointers, feel free to ask.

Hey!

Thanks for offering help!

A few things that would help me would be:

How do I change dynamics?

And also, how do I get different drum beats other than the standard Duda Funk, After Kill etc. ?

Hmmm....you'll have to explain a bit more about what you mean by dynamics.  There are a million things you can do to change the dynamics of a track.  2nd question:  You can get different drum beats several different ways....program them yourself is one way.  Another way is to throw an existing loop into the slicer and reprogram the loop and yet another is to throw an existing loop into the sequencer and augment with your own beats.  You can find several sites out there that have free loops for download or if you use a p2p you can search drum loops and find several.  Hope that helps ...if not feel free to repost or PM me with more specifics.

Petermoncrieff : Do you mean 'Events'? If so! you can right click on probably every thing FL, in the right click menu you get the option to 'Edit Events.....' , that will open a 'track' window where you 'pencil' in your desired 'event' for that button or slide or whatever!
You can probably also record them by pressing record?

Good thread Minds!

Another thing you can try, along the lines of what Kings is thinking, is that you can right click on almost any parameter in FL Studio and click 'Create Automation'.  This will throw a slideable automation event into the playlist that you can use to automate the parameter.  for example, right click on the pan button for one of your sounds and click 'Create Automation', then go to the playlist.  There will be a colored line at the bottom that you can stretch out and slide up and down, effectively automating the pitch for as long as you care to.  (and thats an ancient chinese secret, right there!) and thanks, Kings.

Petermoncrieff : Depending which FL you use, I have 4, the only one I can get that remains stable (no need to register) and in 4 its called Edit Events, I just checked out what Minds was on about and I came to the conclusion that the same thing is called 'Create Automation' in the latest versions of FL.
4 also has a 'link to controller...' right menu choice which I presume is also in the latest versions, this enables one button to be controlled by another buttons event/automation!

I say we get this guy rolling again!

I'm confident enough to answer a few questions here and there.  If it helps, I know the mixer very well.
