The Riff

Another one that never really got a title or fully finished. The song has a few layers, three guitars and a mandolin, there also was flute but it wasn't working out. It's a bit repetative only because I could never figure out where I could go from there but it has a lot of parts which come together nicely. It's a busy, sort of calm sound. Tell me what you think, I'd really appreciate any comments or suggestions... or both. Enjoy.

Yes, it was a little repetitive, but otherwise great playing! I enjoyed the dynamics, too.
Maybe you could get a separate part and insert it early, then ventured back to it again later.
I enjoyed it. Keep it up.

Hi there.  This track is very cute, nice rhythm.  As you say, it's a bit repetitive.  Suggestion: you have a very straightforward I IV I V progression here, how about alternating with something like vi IV I V vi iii V Vsus4?  In G, that would be Em C G D Em Bm D Dsus4.  The first half is a natural alternate to I IV I V and the second half has a nice ascending harmonic.
