My take on the classic by Herbie Hancock.  The bassline is played by a my guitar, with the DI taken down an octave and two mike tracks raised a third and a fifth respectively.  There is a lead line and a (what I like to call pornstar edition) guitar track to serve as rhythm.  The keys are done by a friend on a Roland Juno-106.

The pannings are very cool. The only thing Im not sure is that the something sounds slightly off and think is the keyboard.Also the AX lead on a pentatonic scale is just not enough to move this in my opinion. It got better when you added the minor scale butt then you pulled away from it to fast.Is still a really good take

Haha we realized later that the guitar wasn't tuned to standard--we were rushed for time and recorded the takes.  The keys are going to be modulated up.

This is way funky!!!  Definately has a porn star feel to it!  Funk is not really my bag but you did a great job of capturing that 70's feel!  Nice.. Keyboard is a bit loud in the mix and its creating a dissonance . imho.
