I think that's due to the MIDI samples used. Sounds harpsichord-y. For that reason and others, sounds Baroque-esque (making up words as I go along).
The dynamics come across quite limited, either too soft, or drowned out by other notes, probably just the sound samples though. Also I thought that the first piece had too many turns and jumped about a bit too much for my taste, however it may have just been the samples again, different pitches giving off a louder sound than others... The second one, I think, didn't have enough happening. I think a definitive melody in the right hand would give this a bit more... (maybe in a Chopin style?), all I heard were chords and passing notes, but then again, maybe the trick to it is the performance technique, difficult to get across with computer programs. (btw, what program did you use to write this?). I like the way the melody passes between hands, but I think the melody gets lost with the chords. Also, I find it distracting where both hands move in a similar melodic pattern.
With better samples and a more clear cut and more dynamic melody line, I think these pieces wouldn't be too bad.

Thanks for the critique.
I wrote this with Finale.
I did not write this to be played on the computer so it does sound like tetris.
I use Finale to notate but I noticed that it doesn't play back everything.
As far as the production goes, I could care less; it wasn't written to be played by a machine.
The whole thing was written to be similar to Bach's inventions. There are no dynamics marked in the piece. This gives the performer lots of freedom.
I am a composer not a recording engineer.
What was distracting about the last movement?
There are many restatements of the melody in the the last section that were done with augmented time which was developing the concept as introduced in the second movement.
The second movement is all about sounds hanging over into each other and very large and slow melodies in retrograde (Back to front) added onto the same theme inverted.
If you want I could go on and on about this piece, not to justify what I did but to explain what I hear the piece doing.
It really needs a live performance which I cannot give it.
I learned a long time ago not to compose for piano at the piano since my compositions would only be limited by my abilities. (which stink!) It is the same for the flute and cello, etc. I am not that kind of instrumentalist. I know how the instruments work and the general capabilities of a performer so I keep this in mind (sometimes) when writing for them.

I like the 2nd and the 3rd part.
I can imagine a jazz combo in background to the 3rd part.
well composed
but like you said w/o dynamics.
maybe its time for a little rehearsal in playing Bach. and this is definately not music out of this millenium whats not bad at all.
Good job

Bach bach (bach being small in welsh! lol), this is so nice to hear, couldn't listen to it all day, not the intention I suppose.
To sound like I know what I'm on about, I agree with what most of the above posts say, dynamics, tetris etc
Maybe it's that lack of dynamics that give it that wonderful 'muffled' sound, making it sound from another time!
Really loved this classic noodle!
(though I know it's not a noodle)
