I like Fruit
*

This song is not in a battle

This is version1 of many and many more yet to come I'm sure. I don't like the vocals on this. Only 2 of us recordeding,  he did drums and bass and I did everything else. Will re-record this one with a bridge and the vocal stylings of the version2 I did with spoon. Will try to find that and post it too! =)

This is pretty funky.  Bass is cool.  Needs some funky-in-your-face lead guitar though, and maybe the drums could be switchin' it up more.  I like the words - fun.  I don't really like your vocals on this one, I think you sing better on the sweet ballad songs, or the jazz ones.  You sound like you are plugging your nose or something, but maybe that's the effect you were trying for?  The other thing is that I think it is too repetitive...it needs a busty bass break-out bridge, or some different chords, a change of some sort.

Funk-ee

I like it......  It is pretty cool....

I agree the mix is pretty raw, but that also works in it's favor a bit...

And yea, could use some funky hot ripppin lead guitar in there.. something that says FRUIT RULES MAN!   you know?

It is especially good on waffles......

wow, kindof weird tune here.. but very nice, real funky.

Me I like lots of fruits too! esp. oranges...

it's pretty much unfinished though, that seems obvious...

Really fabulous drums in this one, well recorded too.

The timing of the guitar is a little "sloppy" in places - (believe me, I know how to do that really well!) - but it's not so bad that it spoils the feel of this.

Vocals need work in finding a vocal line that you're happy with..... it's sung well (I do like the sound of your voice), but it sounds as if you weren't really sure how to sing it!

It's a quirky piece, but somehow I like it.

Finish it - it'll be great I'm sure.
