| Shine Like Yours |
A son singing to his father: (Me to mine)
This song explains how i always looked up to my father. Wishing to be just like him. All of the lessons he taught me contributed to the person i am today. Like a piece of marble, he chipped bits away to shape the person i am today. He was a father before he was a friend.
When i was old enough, I realised that i had become my father. He has left us now, but i know that he got to see his life's work succeed, which makes me proud and happy to fulfill that for him.
This one's for you Papa.

Good balance between sentiment and respect, so it's not overly sappy or depressing - nice and relaxed. Guitar needs to be a bit higher in the mix (not much mind you) and could benefit from some treble. The echo on the vocals is a bit distracting. The voice itself is fine, but this could be sung with more power. Anyway, I liked it.
pretty decent song - interesting material, but i agree that it could have a bit more power and enthusiasm
i know it's not a song which is supposed to be "enthusiastic" per se but I still think it could benefit from being more enthusiastic
the guitar should be more than just one or two notes at a time... like really with full chords...
i can just hear sort of a Jeff Buckley esque orchestral thing behind this - try to add some stuff to it and see where it takes you
overall not bad but it didn't inspire me like i thought the subject matter would inspire me... try to inspire me... you know your father... we don't... you've got to *really* convey that to an audience with no faintest concept of what you really feel like... it's tough, that's why i say add some enthusiasm
