Late Summer

Love song for the late of heart.  Light electronic touches thrown in for texture.  Vocals are atrocious, I really need to get a mic or someone who has one.  The Griffin cable for the guitar is working out.

Really great song! Too bad about the distorted voice recording, and overall not-so-superb-mixing job, it still comes out surprisingly well. I'm not so sure about the ring modulated ping sound btw, but I love the deep distorted guitar in the background (atleast I think it's a guitar?). The vocal harmonies are great aswell, again too bad about the crappy recording, but it seems to work anyway. I just listen to it as part of the texture (well I'm used to extreme industrial and noise so...)

Mixing definitelz isnt my forte, I either do it in the cans or over an old stero that has really bad high frequency response, so the mix tends to get muddy.  A decent mic would help things too but its more about the song and its structure for me at the moment, getting a cohesive structure down, something to work from.  The guitar is a preset I've made in GarageBand, called it Mogwaiesque, can share the settings if interested, I've tweaked it to get that sound out of an acoustic guitar.  Cheers for the feedback man

I actually quite like the way the voice is recorded! It kinda fits if you know what I mean.
The song its really nice, it reminds me of the accoustic version of Vermillion by slipnot. I dunno if you know it.

wow, I never got to read this reply, must have slipped my attention.

yes, sure I'm interested in the settings - I mainly use hardware but I have so many toys there's bound to be something I can get the equivalent with.

listening to this song again I still think it's brilliant, there's a great feel to it. And I still dislike the ring modulated ploink sound.

cheers, be well
