Evrything you did here was perfect. the details of recording are not as important as the overall product and how YOU feel about it. whats importnat is that you feel compleatly happy about this recording - not quality, but rather everything but quality. I would say you have a A++ recording here, and the only complaint is that it is too short, but that isn't a bad thing - if you had a album, that song makes me whant to hear that album, i would shell out some cash right now for it - and that is saying alot from me - ( i have just joined this site last night and viewed a handfull of songs and this one is by far my favorite so far ). infact, if i wasn't married i would hunt you down and ask you to marry me!!! LOL anyways. seriusly - post some more music , and don't stop yourself from any musicly inclined decision you make, its your music, and it is beutifull.

I am glad you are posting your music here.  I am new to this site and have enjoyed listening to all the different musical styles here. I play guitar, drums, bass and a few other instruments and I love hearing what others do. 
You have a great voice, the guitar is good, but it is your voice that stands out.  I agree with the separation, maybe strum the guitar in one channel and pick in the other. 
Did you do your own background vocals?
If you do get the separation done, I would like to hear that too. 
I am no professional, but I do love music and I would listen to you.
