i was looking at the xenyx 802 by behringer its like under 100 dollars and considering i dont have a job, thats about my price range lol. but i can't find a usb cable for it or anything for my computer. Anyone found any cheap mixers that come with usb cables and sound good?

the xenyx 802 is pretty good. i found the cable (heres the link)
and if you dont want to dish out $130 on the mixer alone then you have to buy the usb cable seperately.

they have cheaper version of that usb cable...this usb cable has like a headphone jack on it and stuff..but there are cheaper versions of that same usb thing

That Mackie went for £33.00 on Ebay, I'm sure there will be plenty more. Again do some research on the Mackie's, I'm sure this one on ebay is the cheapest model at the time, but not necessarily inferior in any way.

yeah mackie is great! but i mean the behringer xenyx series has very good quality and i am very pleased with mine (1204fx). for something that you need just to plug your guitar into your pedal thing and into the mixer the xenyx 802 would probably suit you.

yeah probably. By the way i hit your link on amazon. And to me, it looks like that USB thing is a mixer of its own, considering it says "Usb Mixer" right next to it. I think its more of one of those plug and play type things.

because thats what it says in the DESCRIPTION!

"Or maybe youd like to connect your computer to an external effects unit or recorder? Want to transfer your old cassette tapes to CD? The fastest, easiest way to get analog audio into your computer is with the U-CONTROL UCA202 Audio Interface.PC and Mac ReadyThis ultra-compact, USB-powered device lets you connect your PC or Mac computer to virtually any piece of audio gear."

you use this cable to connect the mixer to the computer (or any other audio device that has the Red-White, Red-White cable connectors)

"When used as a professional interface between a mixing console and your computer, myriad options become available. Some of these might include connecting the UCA202 RCA outputs: to the TAPE INPUT jacks of your mixer; to powered monitors or to the input channels on the mixer. Connecting to the mixer input channels allows you to use the Aux Send feature of your mixer to build an extremely versatile monitor mix for recording sessions."

you use it to connect the mixer. you cant record just with it.

look amazon is having a sale on the xenyx 802 mixer
http://www.amazon.com/Behringer-802-8-Input-Mixer/dp/B000J5XS3C/ref=pd_sim_e_map_2

add it to your cart to see the price. its only like $45 or $50...i forget...but still thats better than $60!

and then just get the USB audio interface and BAM perfect recording from your own home. its all you need. (and then you can get the headphones and flash drive whenever)
