This song is not in a battle

To think I only started making songs as a bit of a joke

http://forum.bandamp.com/Audio_Review/814.html

...then started to write proper songs but didn't have the voice...
http://forum.bandamp.com/Audio_Review/4501.html

...when I first heard this song mixed and completed today I couldn't help but smile a bit... I've worked so so hard on my voice for years now and I'm actually pretty happy with this. This is my band's latest song, let me know what you think. I wrote the song, played bass, and sung all vocals.

We just launched our Facebook page today, feel free to give us a like:

If you ever get bored then feel free to take a look at the evolution of my songs (I just did):

It's so great to have an archive of my songs like this. Right from the start. I love this site and how it's contributed so much to what I've been able to accomplish so far. Thank you to everyone who's ever commented on any of my songs and anyone who's ever encouraged me to keep writing and keep experimenting! Thank you BandAMP!

Verse

When I first saw you I just wish that I said
All the thoughts running round in my head

But you know what to say to make it harder for me
Bite my tongue once again so I'm safe

Pre-Chorus

Till you come around

Chorus

What if I told you my thoughts
What if you would just let me in
Would you stop with the games make it alright?
Don't you know me by now?

Verse 2

I walk away and I already regret
Not taking your hand and walking away

Wish you knew what to say to bring out everything
In my head that I'm holding for you

Pre-Chorus

Wish you'd come around

Chorus

What if I told you my thoughts
What if you would just let me in
Would you stop with the games make it alright?
Don't you know me by now?

Bridge

Chorus x2

What if I told you my thoughts
What if you would just let me in
Would you stop with the games make it alright?
Don't you know me by now?

Bravo !!
This is  really an exellent song here. Anything´s spot on.
Very complex composed / arranged, very good mixing. You´ve set the harm-vox / multi-layer vox on the right spots, the parts (~ 2:00) with all the breaks are so well thought out........
I like thisone more than the usual "brit-pop"-stuff one can hear all the time on the radio.

Yeah Pete, this is what it's all about - You've come a long way and now without a doubt become part of a PRO set-up - I'm sure you are getting out there, the ladies will love it.  Get in front of the right people and you might get signed up by a reputable label.

The good news is it don't stop here, carry on your pursuit for excellence and strive to be the BEST.

The song is excellent, would not change a thing - the Harmony vox sound GREAT

You've worked at it but I think you've also matured with it and into it.
This song is excellent in every way.
Now get your selves out there .... with all the downloading and free music on line the only way to make it ..... as it always was before record companies butted in, is to do it live everywhere you can .... the following will come from that. You can then use the internet to make it complete.

Man, I haven't heard a track like this in a while. The vocals flow so well and like the others have said, it is "excellent", "Great", "Completely and Absolutely Amazing!", that last one was from me.

Thank you for an awesome 14 minutes (I played it a time or two)
