I just got this crazy idea to take my violin bow and use it on my guitar...
do you know it that will damage my bow?

neat idea, Meow, but it's been done. Check out Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin fame. That Sound on "Whole Lotta Love" that sounds like cosmic fabric ripping? That's a bowed guitar. Check out the movie "The Song Remains the Same". You can see him doing it on other songs as well. Jimmy not only bows his guitar but also flails it with the bow. Jimmy's bow looked pretty fragged after all that.
