Demonstration Songs
Hey Gang, SwordFish and myself were talking today,
we came up with this idea about challenging all you
ampers out there with a serious task... the whole
idea sprung up with the statement "we need john
lennon right now"..  and the following sprouted..
I would love to see a insurgence  of very good thick
hard driving Protest Songs!!  We have a very good
subject matter right here in front of us going to
waste...  And I bet we can venture very close upon
our leaderships, the different bodies - agencies
and groups involved, without the fear of M.I.5,
the C.I.A. or homeland security showing up on
our collective doorsteps..
So come on gang..  let's write a few and challenge
current events and the negative history that is being
made right now..

Blessings,

Blue

Guess what??
I think i'm about to beat ya across the finish
line.. did a little bluegrass number about a
fictional account of a guy that wouldn't pick
up a gun and fight, so he was put in maxwell
airforce base prison in south alabama.. broke
out and took it on the run all the way to north
alabama before the very sherriff he had known
all his life in his home town, put him right back
in!!

we'll upload a very very rough "what i call Dexter Dull and the Sharp Tones"
version of it soon.. then the finished product..  dexter dull and the sharp tones
was a comedy barber shop quartet skit from my high school days... you'll
see when you hear that version! it's  as rough as it possibly can be!!  I wasnt'
even a member of the first formation of Dexter Dull and the Sharp Tones!
a bunch of seniors during my freshman year were.. the least likely group you
could imagine.. and if you listen to the way I do this song, then imagine five
guys doing Cool Water and Delta Dawn the exact same way.. you'll get it...

 Bluey - Dan

Map, did you mean for that to be a time challenge or a style - quality of song
challenge.. you never made it clear what you meant when you threw it out there!!

;-) ;-) ;-)
