Am I evil ain't by Metallica. It's by Diamond Head! I only learnt that a year ago. Before that, i was blissfully ignorant! Unless, you meant the Metallica version, in which case, i apologise!

I would take:

Jason Rebello - Summertime (Fantastic cover of the Gershwin classic)
Herbie Hancock - Watermelon Man
The Clash - Lost in the Supermarket
Metallica - For Whom the Bell Tolls
Capdown - Ska Wars

lol, yep I mean the Metallica version...actually one of my favourite albums of all time!

I thought "Jesus is just alright" was by the Doobie brothers?  Anyways, can I trade in my songs for a friend on the island......preferably a tall dark and handsome one?

Nah, the Byrds version is much better, and part of the soundtrack to the cult movie Easy Rider from 1969.

Nothing to do with the music I'd take on a desert island but.....

These two guys and a girl were stranded on a desert island - there was food and water, but nothing else to do except enjoy each others' company
After a year, the girl got sick and died.
The two guys were devastated, naturally, that they had lost their female company - but needing some comfort they did what was not necessarily natural to them but still relieved their frustrations.
This situation continued for another couple of months until one of them turned to the other and said  "I feel terrible about what we're doing.  I really think we should stop".
The other guy said "Yes, I know that you're right.  I supposed we should start to dig a hole so we can bury her"!!!

I'll have to think about what music I'd take though
