since 4brother's there hasn't been anyone new to join..
I know of three that have been trying to join for days
now and keep telling me that they don't get their
confirmation email, without firewalls and mail blockers...
one I know has nothing on his machine.. and all three
say that have tried to use the account and exact password
they joined with and it won't let them login..  is
there a bug, can anyone please advise??

I dont think it's anything with thier machines, or their info...  We aren't getting emails showing someone posted on our thread either... Something is amis in the Code...  Oh SlasherX, SlasherX wherefore art though SlasherX?

guys i have noticed i didnt get my emails
either but... they showed up IN THE SPAM
FOLDER!!!!!!!! tell people to check there
ok thats where ur missing emails are nothing
is wrong with bandamp or their comps
its just something wrong with email. and if
you have a spam blocker tell it to allow
bandamp emails

I've been reciving my emails myself, and I even created a test account under a new email address and did receive the confirmation. Siltentslaughter is right, there were some mail issues and our mail was being labeled as spam. They should check their spam folders for it. Also, if they still do not have them, send me off a PM with their exact nickname and email, and I'll send them their passwords.

Same here with the mail thing..I had to get a new password and it took days for me to get it...and I checked in every folder
And all the things I get from bandamp go to my bulk..
Gah this is so weird!!!!

The mail is coming into spam folders because of a recent misclassification from several spam databases, spamhaus, etc. The mail server is running fine, but your mail server may be rejecting/bouncing emails that originate from the site or just blacklisting it as spam and sending it to a spam folder on the email account or just accepting it and trashing it instantly.

It is not a code issue. Unfortunately there is not much I can do. I have asked the spam databases to unlist the server, but who knows how long it will take or if they are even listening. I'm not even sure they'll remove us from their lists. It's just a wait and see situation right now.

plus frank and brad griffen.. cousin and
brother of the comic book artist keith griffen.
Skeleta - Elijah Moon young grand-nephew of Keith,
drummer, guitarist - engineer aprentice and
my own cousin Chris Poe - comic book artist
and writer..  none of them have gotten anything
since they signed up..
Eli and Chris have been trying for two or three
days now.. well it's after 2am so guess it's three days..
;-)
 anyway, I told them all to also look in their bulk
folders.. which they all four replied back with they
had.. go figure.. :-0

Well, I checked my email server, and no Bandamp mail lurking in the shadows, wearing the spam badge of shame...  As a matter of fact, I had the spam filter turned off... SO, just to be safe, I turned it back on low, and whitelisted @bandamp.com so I will get any mail from that domain...  I hope that works...

I didn't get my confirmation when I tried to set up the mttns acount either.
But I'm not that fussed as I decided to stick with PD anyway...

I think its great what you guys have done anyway, so what if theres a few blibs. Lets not complain, its free! 

Blueyes, if you can email me or PM me a list of the usernames and their emails, I can send them their password. I have restarted the mail server, but it is running fine. I still think certain email servers block spam flagged email at their server, and not let it even reach the spam folder. I think this is what is happening. I'm trying to find a different mail server to send mail through, but this is going to take me a few days. Sorry folks, just be patient for the moment.

the forgot password thingy.. it sent a reply to her bulk
folder... and so she got online, so she passed that on to
Skeleta and he did the same... I'll talk to Doug Mitchell
here in a couple of days when he passes back through
this area.. he stops to see me every other trip or so..
frank and brad griffen I will see or just call them when
they get back from where ever they've been the last few
days.. brad's wife said they had went to a guitar factory
(wasn't gibson cuz I asked if they were) to a seminar -
workshop that was being offered.. she wasn't sure but
thought it may have been to the grestch, rick, ameritage
or even anderson, eastman or one of the semi-biggies
that still offer the workshops - factories... but will find
out their email addys and let ya know..  as for the other
two, you may talk to skeleta, he's a drummer / bass and
guitar player that mainly does goth metal and others..
just hafta check him out.. he's looking to form a new
band..  told him there aren't to many musician's local
to us on the amp right now.. but trying to get a few
things goin....  kinda wish I wasn't so far away from
the nashville crowd anymore either.. could put the
word out with most of the college circuit bands, like
the clubs and people that pickers such as henry rollins,
brian setzer and those folk passed through..  love the
fact that this is a small family and we all know each
other about as well as one can on the net.. that at least
we happen to care too..    I know it would help
to get more peeps on too... and I believe that is what
the admin around here would like to see as well.. 
hey, that sounds like something everyone could do
in their own areas.. just put the amp out with anyone
they may know in the local scenes!! Ok will get
the other three email addresses as soon as I get
back to them..
