Cool. Yeah i just borrowed Punk-o-rama vol. 2 from my dad. It's real cool and it's got alot of good songs on it. I thought i heard somewhere that they came out with a new punk-o-rama CD but i might be mistaken. Has anyone heard about that?

i'm not sure if i'd call Tsunami Bomb "punk."  or at least "punk" by the original description that "punk" meant back forever ago.

they're still good, but i'm not sure punk is the right way to describe them

i'm curious to know what others you have listed, though!

I have... a selective list...
I don't know too many punk bands that others might, but I'm into this music, so here's what I came up with:

In alphabetical order-
(+44) (pronounced Plus 44)
Alkaline Trio
Anti-Flag
Blink-182
Bodyjar
Boxcar Racer
Dead Kennedys (haven't heard them, just been told they're one of the earlier punk bands)
Eskimo Joe
Good Chorlotte (although I'm afraid they might be heading in a hip-hop direction...)
The Living End
The Offspring
Sum 41

Ok, the problem is that what people classify as mainstream punk tends to be pretty crap, however, most of these bands are on the borderline of being classified as punk or rock.
However, I find it difficult to say I am completely driven on one genre of music, I do like my punk music, a lot, but other stuff, softer, and heavier. Popular (not hip hop/rap/chick-sex-pop-dance) and marginal (small Australian bands). And for that matter I'm not completely set on one band, all the bands I like, I like for the fact that they have a unique enjoyable sound. What makes some bands better than others is consistency, bands that crank out good songs that don't get too old too quick, and don't sound too alike eachother.

For this reason, I don't really like it when people are like, yeah, I'm punk! And other's are like, no, you're a wannabe punk, conformity etc...

Punk is just a word...

up and coming punk band outta California , They do it old school style, with the nationwide tour in the van. I met em,.. and out of the  punk bands, that I have seen playing in bars other venues they seem to have it down. I seen em twice and both times they stole the show.

nobody mentioned:

original US based punk: Dead Kennedies
and, grindcore UK: Extreme Noise Terror

I'm not a big fan of either but if you talk punk I guess these two bands I mentioned are pretty much (the)* shit.
