drum software for dummy
I have to say I'm pretty useless when it comes to generate music with a computer
I'm looking for an easy to use software to put decent drum tracks on my songs I would appreciate any help on that subject

There are Soo many, how simple? do you have your own drum sounds? Are you into loops?
Do you use a VST compatible audio editor?

The first thing I played with was HammerHead by Bram Bos (more info). And I have been wanting to play with it again for some time now!
But BramBos has another gem called Tuareg and this link is especially for you!
Just download Brams stuff and play, it's simply excellent.

I then got into VSTPlug-ins quite soon. Most music software programs recognize them and use them.

Then you have real simple like Loopazoid
or cooler like RMF
Drumatic on the other hand is a drum synth and has its own sound which you manipulate via the mixing desk type interface. And makes some wicked sounds too!
While searching I came across this :Drum_Machine, it seams like a cool idea, I'll have to check it out some time. I'm also looking for drum tracks/sounds to sound right, I have read somewhere in these very forums that PX was working on a Drum Tutorial, but I haven't seen anything yet, I live in hope!

There is a program called JAMSTIX this thing can play a whole song for you, adding beats and breaks as you jam. I only tried the demo but I might still have a go at opening it up.

If I come up with any more variation on this theme I'll post.

Aren't you lucky you posted in English, I wouldn't have understood you otherwise, and No I wouldn't have translated the page!

I'm not Dutch BTW, but never mind.

As I said if you can give a little more info as to how and what you have as equipment (hardware) and what you have in mind (software) I , and others, could point you in a better direction.

I'm planning on buying the line 6 tone port ux2 or something similar in a near future

LOL, dude, you saw that?? That post is ancient!

But yeah I have a few drafts regarding that lying around, but I keep finding myself still too far in the learning process to actually be confident about posting something of a tutorial. Yet - I have said I'd do it so I will.

Hey, excellent set of links here kings. I'm gonna download 1 or 2 things to play around with them.

As for now I'm throwing in a spam: drums on this track done with Tuareg (spamming this because the 3rd part of this collab Opera is coming up soon! ha!)

Yes PX I try and keep my eyes open in the forums, you never know what you may learn!

I am one of those people who would truly appreciate a simple to medium drum tutorial, the basics and a bit so to say. But it all takes time I know. So I still live in hope!

Listened to the track, Tuareg is much more versatile than I thought, I just downloaded Hammer Head again, God that simple little program makes the most excellent sound, it's been years since I last played with it, feels like I'm going back to the 'source' for inspiration!

Hey vince, just downloaded that leafDrum program, had a bit of a play with it. I'm impressed.
Seams like a very nice program, simple to use and you can load in your own sounds.

Thanks for the good tip!
