tonite had a telephone conversation with one of festival organisers
He advises....
they are very positive and nodding heads ++++ for a BANDAMP stage
but the proposal still needs to go before the organising commitee to give it a final confirmation
so watch this space ..........
Im pretty excited cos Im sure they will say yes!!!!
call it intuition!!!
best thing i can do is find out when they are having the meeting ....then let you know
in the meantime ,,,,,,
as much interest as you can show on this thread
as i will tell the festival organisers to check us out ..... i think thats fair

It seems they still didnt schedule the next festival yet (like they said on facebook "Should we do it in 2013?")
Bad area. Next airport is Birmingham 2 hours flight with prop and then apprx 90km by car. On the wrong side!!!! The only airline is Flybe. A lowcost airline for around 150 Euro two way flight (economy).
International guests should land in London and then they have about 270km by car. or train?
What about a meet in (the near of) London?

Good area..... Because the festival is there
Its growing every year
free stage pa and lighting
possibly free accomodation .....
nearest major international airport Manchester
pick up and drop back would be arranged by me ... free
and best of all its nowhere near london
I can facilitate this idea ....... but cannot help with resourcing any other locations in uk except possibly in North East UK (Newcastle area)
anyway its all heresay till green light from the festival .....
but it will happen.

OK! Audlem ... Cheshire, close to Crewe ... lots of trains at Crewe.
Liverpool seems closer as the crow flies, and Liverpool is accessible and cheep from Amsterdam ... as EasyJet flys.
A small and growing festival sounds excellent ... I'll have to have a word with Eavis ... see if we can organise the bandAMP stage again ... sorry, thinking ahead of myself again.

I will have to discuss this with my band(s), I know they can be stubborn spoilsports seing only bears on the road while at the same time whining and complaining about wanting more gigs.. blahblah
But it's next year so that should give them plenty of time to mentally prepare.

ive got a band like that too!!
what about individuals,, no way I could get my band over there right now. but .. I mght be able to swing a ticket if someone could put me up,, Or they let you stay in a tent at the festival... I'd need some kind of backline amp, cost of shipping my stuff would be pretty high I think.
Edit: Rountrip cost for me.. around $1000.00 US, or797.477 eu That's into London,( Heathro?) not sure
could I catch a ride , or is it better to lease a car ?
