Ensure that you'll never give your creative control out of your hands. my last post was a joke.
Go for yourself. There are NO RULES for writing songs. IMO study some poetic lyrics like "she's like the wind" or so. Even if you aren't familiar with chords and chord progressions play what you feel and act like that.
Perform and present it to your friends and/or this wonderful community and I am sure you can make the best out of it. Look where you come from (never forget that), where you are now and where you want to go. Invent yourself: this is the goal!
btw. never use 4-letter-words like f*** (fish) (flat) (funn) (feck or fock)
