congrats man... it'll get you started and that's what counts, i've checked it out, and it's very very possible that you will (probably) want to purchase a separate mixer for the drums. That way you don't use up all your inputs on the drum set, not to mention, if you've got 6 drums mics and only 2 mic inputs, that won't work too well. That will also make it so you can record live.

And, if it works for you, then you bought the right product, that's all there is to it. There will always be better gear to get, even if you spend $100,000 you could still buy more and upgrade further. The vast array of music equipment is virtually unlimited. I think you bought the right thing personally, it's small, simple and striaght to the point. It's portable, and it'll do what you need and want it to do, which is, record. Rock on, fellas
