It has been awhile since someone has posted something so yeah I use Cubase and personally if your trying to get a professional sounding recording which is easy yah this is it

I use Audacity for recording, but my most important tool has always been Jeskola Buzz.  It's a bit complicated but it's the greatest freeware for digital synthesis and mixing.

i am using col edit pro 2.0
alon with audacity
but mostly the first one!!
have an copy of FL Studios but its very confusing...
learning it!!
