EMG pickups
So i've heard EMG makes really good active pickups, with, from what i understand, thier emg 81's and 85's being the best active pick-ups they have, i was just wondering if anyone know what their best humbucking passive pickups are.

I'm not entirely sure if their passive pickups are good. You might wanna check out some of Gibson's pickups for some good Passive ones.

As for EMG's active pickups, they are REALLY good. I have an LTD EC-1000 and it has the EMG active pickups (81's and 85's I think) and they're amazing. If you ever look into buying a new electirc guitar I'd reconment that one.

If I was going passive I'd choose Dimarzio or SD

I have a set of EMG's in my LP and I will never go back to passive in it.But I have a dimarzio super distortion in one of my strats and it sounds cool.but shit....Emg's are so clear...theres none better...you never have to worry about the poles not lining up...you can put them as close to the strings as you want and you don;t get that magnetic pull...there awesome in everyway

I personally dont prefer passives, but if i chose a set of passives it would definately be a pair of H4's, While the 81 and 85 are decent, H4 and H4A are out of my opinion "the best"

emg passives
well I don't know what the model #  the pick ups are , I just bought a Jackson guitar with EMG passives, I played it out for the first time.. It sounded freaking great.  EMG is known for very good pick ups.. I was impressed with these,. great sustain,.. even tones. not to harsh,. very smooth.  All the guitar work on Crying Inside (changed) was done on the Jackson with the passive EMG pickups.
