Theme threads
I thought this site could have a theme challenge forum
so everybody is called to make a song to a special theme.
this could be "A summer song challenge"
or "A love song challenge"
or "The big belly song  challenge" or what ever comes up.

What do YOU think?

Sounds like a good idea - having some quarterly or monthly event thing like a "theme challenge" will result in more cohesion and consistency within the community.

fine that you agreed
now someone must define a theme and start the challenge
in most of the cases this is a collaboration with the site admin to bring this topic to the front page.   (or so).
ok a few members had this idea before I guess but someone has to start this thing then
ehm as for myself I am not into writing lyrics but I can offer my abilities (if someone asks me    woohoo)

don't talk just do it

I challenge you to to write a song about how you wrote the song you're writing about.

I think that's what I mean.

hmmm,
you mean like my little challenge I made a couple
of weeks back to get everyone to write songs about
subjects and themes..  I challenged everyone to
pick up where Bob Dylan, Arlo Guthrie, Pete Seger,
Country Joe, Richie Heavens and so many other's
left off.. to write a protest song about what is going
on on this globe right now.. there are way to many
subject matters that one could pick..
Yea guys, it sounds like a great Idea..  break a leg
getting it going!!!

blessings,

Dan - Bluey

How's that??   Will that do?  It was done in one take, although I did do the chorus as a separate track to get a different feel to it. but the main song is me playing and singing at the same time,  so Hope you like it...

One Take
How about just calling it 'One take', no themes, just whatever at he time?

This would make it easier and as you said 'FUN'
