less than sign
just noticed that if you post a right-opening pointed bracked (ie 'less than' sign) immediately folllowed by any letter or number w/ no space it causes the post to be cut off after that point.

Edit:
Yep, weird!

The PHP/script might have been told to think that it's the beginning of a HTML command :

< % PHP
if you come across ' < ' + ' digit ', ditch it!
PHP % >

Type of thing! Maybe?

You'd have to tell the script to read the whole line and define whether or not it is ALL actual HTML or not.
Though it would be fun being able to write HTML into the text boxes (cite mySpace) I'm VERY HAPPY      that it cant be done here. Keeps it all within reason!
So I hope they don't have a solution to something that's not a problem!
I take it you want to either write HTML or show someone some code, the [script] can do the most wonderful things if you use a little imagination, I've personally taken part in ONE or TWO threads that have explored the page coding a bit.
But this you know because you've posted pic in your tutorials!

No, I mean the problem that if someone mistakenly puts a less than sign in their post for legitimate purposes they lose everything after hitting post. I agree that HTML should NEVER be allowed in full for posting - it's like anarchy that way. Limited html is ok sometimes, but that's why they invented vB code.

Luckily, I've acquired a habbit of copying my entire post to the clipboard before hitting submit over the years. Same thing applies when sending messages, etc - really any kind of text box submission I copy before hitting submit, just to be safe.

I follow what you mean. If the text is not copied then it is also lost because it doesn't show on page!
Well there seams to be a 'slasherx' doing his thing around the site recently, and things have mysteriously been working better, so I think its being looked at.

Ok, this bug is as good as gone. Stuff like <1 through <99999999 whatever won't delete everything after that. But if there's a string after the < sign then it will basically think it's a tag and kill every after that since it isn't a valid tag. So there you go people.

Hey willy i found your tutorials really really helpful, keep up the great work. I just wanted to know how you cold directly record sound on the program if possible? and how do you test ou the sytrus plug ins on the side without actually having to put them in the pattern sampler?
