This song is not in a battle

This is not a song.

I`ve had a guitar riff stuck in my mind for over a year. I`ve also had a percussive pattern stuck in my fingers for weeks. This is both of them mashed together. I`m planning on doing a song with whatever comes of out this... some day. Any comment on anything is quite welcome.

Cheers.

Wow, tons of high energy potential from a song built out of this!  I loved that it was able to build back up from solo percussion into the whole thing.  Really clean work.

Where does the name come from?

"Toocootoocootah" (tucutucutá) is how the beginning of the percussive pattern sounds when I play it with my fingers. I just had to name it something since it's nothing yet.

Great driving music - I could just imagine driving hard down a country lane in a V8 convertible, free and wild, not  a care in the world.

Good foundation to work on

Wow! Completely different sound for you, Izzy (from what I remember of your work). This is fresh, vibrant. A driving rhythm, really nice, crisp rhythm guitar. Inventive chord progressions. Love it!

I think I'll slow the tempo down about 5-8 BPM and get a better drums sound.

Thanks for the comments.

the only drum that is really kind of off is the snare, It sounds a bit dull without much snares going.  The song is really good. Reminds me of some of the bands back in the 70's.  great groove and energy.  Love the bass line too.   everything seems to fit together nicely.

Iszil,

This was posted last year so I hope you got around to finishing it because the foundation is nothing short of infectious. Love that climbing bass line. Guitar work is more than just solid and what parts you have here are extremely interesting. I hope you post the finished tune.
