Stories we tell
*

This song is not in a battle

Acoustic blah, blah, blah again.

Inspired by a conversation when out one night where we both were making up stories about people in the pub.
I've added a very quiet (and not too perfect!) bass to this one - only as an experiment.
All done this afternoon in a couple of hours.

Hope you enjoy.

As I know that Swordy likes to see the lyrics, I've posted them in the lyrics forum (duh!)
You can find them here

You should play this at your local - that'll get 'em talking once you announce how you came up with the song

Felt the M8 should have come in after the second verse.. - minor details.

Nice job mate

hi Jim
what a fine song....
well recorded.......played and sung....

thing about the lyrics .....
yep its a good idea to post them ......
specially on the first post in audio review..

gives the listener something to see

posting it away on seperate page is not such a hot idea ..... specially if listener doesnt get tabs

nice one

I'd have gone with the 'Soap box stories' approach, I think it would have given it a better vocal hook....lyrically seen.
Good song, nice recording, well performed ... a proper one man and his guitar song

Nice song.

Unfortunately I can't comment on the mix since I'm only able to listen to this in headphones atm (and not monitors).

But as for the performance, the vocals and guitar both sound right on. Your vocal harmonies were a good call. I'm a big fan of those. Also nice to read the backstory.

was aspecting a heartbreaker but it sounds quite cheerfull to me, a strange contradiction which i cant get over so far.

Another great song and an expressionate voice.
I´m with Max about the gitsound . It works but I´won´t get crazy about it.
 "       "       "         "      "   bass. It´s pretty quiet. I can perhaps guess it but I can´t hear it. Bring up.
