Sorry Vincent I just had to post the lyrics here:

Many moons ago when I went back to pleasant street
My heart was broken in two and I was staring at defeat
I've been all over the world looking for a girl to make my life complete
But never thought I'd find her down my old street

As soon as I saw her my whole life was turn up side down
I thought it would be different this time around
The heartaches of the past the love that never last
Will soon be forgotten of that I was certain

She's every men's dream she's got it all it seems
Her figure is divine I can't believe she's mine
So please don't let me down don't take your love to town
And stay with me forever let's spend our life together

I was head over hill asked her to move in straight away
Open my door to her my heart was open anyway
threw caution to the wind I couldn't have foreseen
That something wasn't right the future wasn't bright

Our first night together I was in for a big surprise
I thought we would be lovers before the sunrise
When she turned off the lights I just thought she was shy
I never imagined what I left myself in

She's every men's dream she's got it all it seems
Her figure is divine I can't believe she's mine
But she was just a fake and it was my mistake
To think she was a lady but the lady was .......A man!

Yes Vincent - Very entertaining fun peice - perhaps you can continue the story with another song.

She must have been really convincing ! I mean.....it took you all that time to find out she was a he !!! lol

Superb song, on it's way to being a classic, "I've been all over the world looking for a girl to make my life complete" is too long and there's one or two other bits you duck and jump to.
But otherwise a perfect song, perfectly Vincent. Good job.

Man, this is great! My smile was getting bigger as I was listening to the lyrics.
Simple but yet entertaining tune.
Great job.

makes me think of Harry Nilsson [RIP], well and the playfulness of Paul McCartney...love it...trying to think of what else instrumentation-wise -- less is more for me...nice!

Great new classic! I can hear a wistle solo in the parts without vox. Maybe flute of some sort would work aswell.
