Night INTRO Final
*
This is the placeholder for a new MP3 player

This song is not in a battle

Ok So I took almost everyones advice on here...thank you so much for your guys help, I couldnt have done this without you.
I think I will be keeping this as the Final draft for the intro to the song.

I have added Hitler's speech on eradicating the Jews, train effects, morse code, footsteps, a baby crying, I took out "Sell crazy someplace else, we're all stocked up here"..and I think thats it...

Enjoy!!

Edit: I dont have the ending faded properly, because it cross fades into the guitar and the rest of the song...this just gives you guys an idea on all the madness of what this song is about. The holocaust.

SOUNDSCAPE
using Adolf Hitler Live is v unusual ( Im choosing my words carefully.........) for a start point to make music.
i get what what you are doing ...... but others may not.....
The subject is potentially incendiary
but as a soundscape this is truly Scary....which is what I think you were hoping for?
short but hits a nerve that makes me shudder........
A rare thing by any medium....
be certain that the quote u use is accurate..........
please post a translation if u can.

That will truly hit the nerve.............

I really like your sample work, it all works well together.
I REALLY like that that cutting sound at 1.02....hmm very sexy sound

I agree partially with Swordy that it's a touchy subject and yes it could be taken the wrong way, but I hear no glorification of what is said only the chill which is reflected in the samples........but it is such an extreme chill that I question it's use in a 'song'.
Did you get hold of the angry kid?
Him going "I'll kill you all" a few times would do an even better job in conveying the insanity of WW2 and war in general, but listening to Adolph doing something from 'Listen with Mother' creates an anti-mood when it comes to listening to a song.

well done.. it is supposed to be in context of the book.  imho he is on eh right track.  I like the way you gradually increased the volume to a climatic point.   nicely done..

while listening  another idea struck me , to crossfade the speech you have now,  with the the speech ..German People give us four years. speech.  That speech has some length and a little more forcefull. for the climatic build.  just an idea.  and then (cause of the incendiary aspect of it, crossfade into a Churchill or Patton speech,
 for offset.).

imho it is not wrong for someone to go back and study history, look at what happened and why and to express opinions about it.

most people will understand that your not trying to promote the incendiary aspect of it , just trying to put into sound and song what was in the book, about a major event in history.

I think you did a good job.

I have no intentions of offending anyone, and I know this is a very touchy subject, but this song is based on the book Night by Elie Wielsel and I wanted an introduction that would let the listener experience the horors that all of these poor people had to go through, so we could feel what they felt.
Kings: Yeah I watched him...lol...thats crazy. I wasnt able to retrieve the audio from it though...although I think this works just as well.

yes as toastedgoat says, im not trying to promote hitler, im showing how eeire, and chilly, and just horrific this all was, so that we may all understand just a bit better.

I really appreciate your listen and review everyone!!!

Swordy: yes I was hoping for very scary

thanks so much for your support and great suggestions and critiques. full song coming soon. EDIT: I'll delete Night INTRO and Night INTRO Final when I upload the full song

you know...after listening again and again, I think that I might maybe shorten the speech quite a bit, as it does drag on through the entire thing. it might be too much.

what do you think? i dont want to offend anyone or have anyone feel uncomfortable while listening ( i mean i want them to be uncomfortable, but in the scared sort of way lol)

I listened to this a couple of times. I like it like it is..  you did a great job in the build up. It's ready for the next phase... a great artist should never shy away from incendiary things do what you feel is right for you.

although, I have no idea of what he is saying, what the translation is, or if this is legit. (what if someone heard this and knew how to speak german, and he was saying horrible things that no one needs to hear again!)
I found a site filled with stuff I know if reliable, and a translation of it, so I think I might take out this speech and change it up a little bit with this new stuff, post the translation, and see how it sounds...
who knows...it might be better!

EDIT: I found some great stuff like his german give us four years stuff and everything, so i think ill change it with some of this stuff, because I dont know what hes saying in this speech, and I dont want it to be TOO powerful or too offend anyone or bring back bad memories.

Hi Kunadiun,  I as well am very interested in hearing the rest of  your compilation here. What you have done, could and can be  considered controversial, but like most true artistry, controversy is a key part. Also what this is actually named as a reference for you is considered "studio collage". Very similar to people that do collage artwork with colors and shapes, but only you're using sounds. Pink Floyd was famous for their studio collage work, as you may know. Excellent Idea and a great start!

Yeah I was actually very inspired by Pink Floyd. I love how they did all of their collages.
I still think I might change it a little bit, but I'll still have hitler doing a speech (yelling in some parts where it builds up) but at least ill know what hes saying.
thanks for the listen and review!
