Little Birdie

Score: 78.6%
Rank: 1st
Battle: 2007-06

This is a song about those times when you realize that the situation you're in isn't quite right anymore and that, hard as it may be, it's time to move on. It's also about something else, see if you can figure out what.

Re-mixed and re-mastered. I will probably re-mix and re-master one more time Please put in your vote! I have entered the battle. Thanks

sounds like....a supermarket

Don't really like the style, but I like the chords and vocals. Good job.

Pretty good.
A bit too mellow for my taste though. But that's just me.

I do love it..
It does drip steely dan... ooze's out of
every measure! Then there's the michael
mcdonald - doobie bros piano - keyboard
riffs that are only even more complimented
by those beautiful vocals!!!
My friend, you have one hell'va song here!

Blessings,

Dan - Bluey

p.s. you just don't know how many times
I've started to review this tune, only to by
stumped on just how to say exactly how
much I like it!

really nice. The vocals are perfect, and no minors found. Favorite part is 2:01 - 2:12

The vocals are superb in every aspect. Piano also excellent

Think the bass drum & bass are a bit boomy, just need to cut the bass down, which will boost the overall recording settings, giving the song more dynamics.

Nice realxing song.

I had to put my volume up quite a bit to hear it properly ( compared with other songs on the amp )
But now that I can hear it, yes , a really beautiful song, thank you for uploading!
No I didn't get the hidden message I was too busy listening to the song!

hey this is good I really like
it its almost like a rock R&B hybrid
I really like. This song has great
meaning. Can I ask how you did
the drums are they VSTi or did you
do them yourself OR, are they loops
or samples!

Yes, technically it is a jazz/rock hybrid, but that's a good guess and I'm glad that you caught on to that; much more astute than the person who thinks it sounds like supermarket muzak.

I'll tell you what muzak sounds like:

A rendition of Hootie & The Blowfish's "Let Her Cry" arranged for Tuba, Oboe, Banjo and Bass Drum, now that is muzak and yes I have actually heard that, it was scary.

This is great stuff, loved the vocal harmonies, the layering, they sit just right in the mix.  For a home recording this is friggin' awesome.
