Pretty beautiful and emotive song. Feeling spread all over it.
As Jim said, you are definitely singing a LOT better than your fist songs. Actually this song and specially your voice reminds me a lot of Johnny Cash, and mainly his song Hurt.
Great guitar job also. I love the melody.

Yes your voice sounds much better here.
The input level (preamp?) is gained too much.
You can clearly hear the hissing fade in and fade out. And you should cut the mic track at the end. It needs a lot work in the post editing.
But I think it is becoming better from record to record.

.....can hear distant strings floating in........the ones im playing............i love to play with choons as i hear them.....not that this needs playing with....its just i like to play along with good ones.........nuff said i think....
