Lovely song, really good. Right up until the solo. I think the solo fits and should stay but there's a duff note in there which ruins the whole thing for me. You're playing (if my guitar's in tune) D, C#, C and the C# really stands out and sounds, to my ears pretty off. If you substituted the C# with a B, then climbed back to the C it would fit more harmoniously I think. Alternatively, D, C, B but that would hang the B note rather than the C which is probably what you want.
I sound like I'm lecturing and I apologise for that (especially since I'm hardly a guitar expert) but this is such a good song and (for me at least) that one note is really damaging to my overall appreciation of its beauty
