It’s in the battle 2006-12

My Wife, Linda (Nakedtoes4me on here) is a constant source of inspiration for me....  Simply by being her loving wonderful self, she has me singing, and writing songs in her honor all the time...

This is one such inspired song....   Just watching her, this came to me... I started on it at 10pm last night, worked on it for about an hour, and then came home from work today and finished it up..  It's a little rough, but for my level of playing and singing, and the fact that it's my first time using Acoustica Beatcraft to make a drum track, I think it came out well...  Hope you think so too.....   I was happy to see she was pleased.. and that is what truly matters with this song..

Mister!
What a cool tune!
Has a feel of Led Zappelin!
Drunk OK but sometimes out of sync with the guitar.
Great vocal - I can honestly say you are approaching a higher standard of your musicianship.
I like it very much and even tried to come up with strings arrangement in FL for this song!
Rated high!

It's wonderful that you have such a solid source of constant inspiration....this is coming along nicely.  I think you could use a little more confidence in your singing...just let it out!!  Like Jbp said, there are some timing issues....but like YOU said - she was pleased - and that's what matters most

there's surely true emotion in this track, I really enjoy the soundscape your setting - those are great guitar tones, and they work well together.

I would have kept the vocals dryer though, and panned dead center. timing issues? could be, but as this out-of-syncness actually seems to set a very interesting mood, summoning a wide range of imagery to my freely-associating mind.

so... it's clear you are improving heaps with your music... and looking forward to more...

so I'm rating this somewhere in the area of "warm", leaning to "hot", because there's a promise of something very big behind this...

Thank you Everyone...
It is wonderful to see such a great response.....    I know what you all mean about the timing issues, I tried to smooth that out, but, I really liked the way the guitars sounded playing off each other in certain places, which made it REAL hard to mesh...  plus, like I said, it's my first drum beat using a sequencing program....

I think I will continue using it.. it works well...

              anyway....

                 Thank you again... VERY much!

I agree with JBP about the Zeppelin's feel.  The first notes of the vox actually sounded like Plant

Ok, wouldn't point out the timming issues if it weren't because I had similar problems.  You are recording with audacity right? I would suggest to create a Click Track about two meassures long and then import the drum track. Place the drum track right after the click track and you'll now exactly where to start playing.  If it's difficult for you to keep the tempo while listening to the drum track, just play along with the click track by adding more meassures... that of course will be against playing with feeling

That being said, you are improving REALLY fast on your playing and writting kills.  I can picture you winning battles in a near future (and then JBP won't write you such a nice review never again hahahaha  )

Well, yeah, your blues-ing here definitely sounds quite a bit like Zeppelin, surprisingly enough. But, sorry, I wouldn't go so far as to say you sounded anything like Plant
I can see and understand your troubles with timing. Me trying to record just two trumpet parts ended up with me not touching the trumpet for two days in frustration.
The riff reminds a lot of Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters". I mean a lot. But it's ok.
Good job regardless of timing issues.

Why Thank you....

It's nice to see such a warm reception....  I am in the process of re-doing this with a more tight arrangement..

At the same time I hope to keep improv feel, and the live vibe....  So, here's to hopin!
