Yeah, I like this as well. I especially enjoy knowing this is all "hard-parts"
instrumentation. I agree with most of the comments about the production, but this is an offerring I can get excited about! It's got "hook", but it's not "cliched". It's got popular appeal, but it also rocks. I actually don't mind the fading finish (it sounds like the guitarist...who is you, I imagine, is just getting ready to "get off" as the song fades out). By the way, the drumming is excellent!

Just wrote a wordy review about this song that got lost in the ether somewhere! Anyhow, if I can remember basically I like the song 
There are a few problems with the timing (as you mention yourself), and the acoustic strumming is a little on the loose side (a problem I suffer from BIG time
) The production could do with a little work as well I feel.
Overall though, it's well sung - I think the vocals suit the music - and it's pretty well played.
