It’s in the battle 2006-10

Well, here is my first post! The recording is not great and the singing even worse, but I'm working on the recording and trying to sing better

Anyway, I play all the instruments and recorded them through a tascam dp. Sooo the timing might be a little off.

There it is, I hope you like it.

ADHD

Verse:
I never want to follow
But my fear keeps me here
I think I'll start tomorrow
When my head becomes more clear

Mondays gone and Tuesdays calling
Still me head is in last week
I think I'll start tomorrow
Set my feet upon the street

Chorus:
The ticking of the clock sends
Fire shooting through my veins
A wild inferno in my brain
Still I travel on eventhough they say I'm to far gone
I will climb aboard that train

Verse:
Relax and take a moment
To let the demons fall asleep
Take the time to move forward
Before I fall in too deep

I can't concentrate much longer
The world is spinning around me
Maybe ships of calm and somber
Will deliver me some peace

NICE guitar / shaker(hi-hat??) in the beggining - Definitley a toe tapper to say the least

With songs like this you will be rubbin elbows with the greats in battles (taka, spoon, educated guess)

the strummin in the begining around 10 seconds is a bit late I think

I added this to my playlist cuz its a fun song, keep 'em coming!

(Welcome to the amp man!)

mm recordings all right, did u play all the instruments? one man band i think vocals are abit reverby, and lost in the mix, also abit trebley kinda making them sound worse then they could be... your musical ability is fine, its in beat which is good... i'd say the vocals brings it down a notch but thats just because the production on them isn't that great,, like i said bit too much wet reverb, sounds like your straining your voice abit to much as well... im far from a vocal instructor but id say loosen up your vocals chords abit more and u'd get a much clearer vocal projection... but it could just be the production u should listen to flyers vocals on his early stuff and his latest stuff and hopefully that will explain what i mean because he did the same thing with reverb on the vocals but his are much clearer on his latest stuff, anyways its far from bad, the musics good, its just the production... hope that helps

Catchy tune. The vocals are maybe not as strong as the rest of the instrumentation - They should be turned up a bit maybe. Like it though, i'm boppin! =)

Thanks to all who graced me with your comments! I do appreciate what you all said!!!

Thanks for the lovely comment pap, and if luke is Devo, then I actually chatted with him and asked him for total and brutal honesty which I truly do appreciate as well.

Next song, I am going to lower the effects and sing less strained, thanks for the tip.

It is a rarity to see so many musicians so helpful to each other.

Keep writing everyone, I will be listening

well this is sounding pretty nice - must agree that the production isn't all that, and there's some timing delay in the distorted lead guitar, but overall it's a nice tune. Great drums, mainly.

Pan your parts apart (I keep saying that to so many people) to get a better stereo image - apply some limiter/compression to the mixdown to get it spunk'd up, and fix any timing delays you run into. I'll rate the song higher then

The best of this song are the lyrics by far...
I feel identified.
The solos are good as well...the rythm guitar is a bit out of tune and tempo.

It's not recorded bad at all. I kind of like the voice. The drums too. I wouldn't by a CD of it, but I don't mind listening to it.
