NOW!!! I finally found the song (after a 2-year search) that this song reminds me of.. (see my post on your first version of this..."not finished yet"...now, take this "with a grain of salt" as they say....they're really VERY different songs....yours is much better to me...and yours is by no means influenced by this other song I'm posting here....but just check it out and tell me what you think.. btw, I'm downloading your song...it's even better that I remembered!)

writing while i listen to the song on the link for the 3d time:

i like the song, although i am not sure i would have if  not referred to by you..(? get me there?)

first thing i find connecting these songs is . . .CHEESYNESS   (especially lyrics)
so, i guess you were right, there IS a connection  lol
also both songs have an easy laidback feel to me..

must be an old one, drums are one side completely, reminds me of old 4 tracker recorded albums like beatles or zep for instance,
its not clear to me who is the artist or band, is it the Turtles as in the link? never heard of them

but ty for this add, gives some insight in how music is concieved, and you know i respect you as a music lover/critic/maker, so it is very apreciated, even after 2 years

 ;)
Yeah, the song is by the "Turtles" of the 1960's (Remember the song "Happy Together"? That was their's). They were famous for "bubble-gum" (as it was called in the 60's) pop; however they were recognized as the best of that genre. Yeah, this is probably a four-track. By the way, I genuinely think your song has allot more artistic merit that their's. The reason I provided it here is because this song has haunted me for two years,(I could not remember who did it) and once I found it I was compelled to post it!
