This song is not in a battle

This one is a couple of years old, but I've always had a soft spot for it. Looking forward to hearing your comments...

Another pretty nice song by you.  Simple and effective - but as Thranduil sort of says (!), the instruments are a little "muddy" in the mix.
I like the vocals

maybe the bass is a bit bummy... It could help to cut frequencies below 60-70Hz, or just a little less reverb on it. But it's also a question of taste... In contrast I liked the deep flow and maybe my hints would destroy it... In some places you reached peak, watch for the record volume...
But don't take me wrong... It's a nice song and I just wrote this so that you have something constructive...
The drums add some "on foot" feeling to the song... hehe I just imagine Forest Gump running through the Nevada dessert with that song playing in the background

I like this song a lot...

it sounds sorta like folk music. cool.

also reminds me of the shins in a way... (mine is a high horse)

very nice.. besides the said "muddiness"

Amused - I like your Forrest Gump comment.  I've always thought the drums have that train on the rail sound.

Thanks everyone for your feedback.  I don't really know much about the ins and outs of recording...I usually just play and sing and let someone else run the board.  But I want to learn...so all of your comments are much appreciated.

I like the drone of the bass, it almost sounds like a deep sitar, nice effect, vocals are nice too, the other instruments do sound partly lost in the mix, but it also kinda suits the song, the guitar sounds like its had alot of the lower freq cut out of it which makes it sound almost out of a radio, adds a nice effect, and the lower freq in the vocals help to cover it, a nice track

yes you definately have an interesting style, it somehow touches folk/country, especially in overall tonal colour, but definately in the direction of 60's hippy sound - like Jefferson Airplane and even The Doors. (maybe) the symbolism in the lyrics aid to that. And the sound of your voice / the way you sing.

I think it's great. I instantly understand your soft spot, even if the quality isn't all that - makes it sound more like an authentic late 60s recording btw. You could have fooled me and I mean this all as compliment, naturally

big big rating for you

I liked the drums with the snare setting (I'm guessing that's a loop). vocal are nice and clear. just watch your levels and maybee use small amount of compression might help.
Other than that I liked it.

I very like this "running" ambiance. I feel back to 70's coolest song.
Excellent.
Don't hesitate to make us hear others songs like this one.

Thanks for this good moment...
