I dunno, the raw sound worked really well for the White Stripes, and they're the sort of duo that strikes me as...that they wouldn't be as good cleaned up. It might sound and feel over-produced.

I've said before, it's about the feel. I have Bonham with a squeaky bass pedal "Since I've been lovin' you." and Janis singing to typing noise "Trouble in Mind."

I've recorded things a lot worse, myself, and that's OK!

This is a lot of fun and I'm still humming it as I write this. You have a great voice which suits this song really well.
I would love to hear a really good live recording of this played in front of an audience because I bet you and your band could make this rock (even more) at the end of a gig!

Now...just a bit louder with the bass, and this would totally be funk.  You mentioned that you are re-recording this...be sure to crank the bass in the mix and make it slick.

I'm on a funk mission, and so far, this is the closest I've come to finding it here, but then again, I've just started looking.

Wow , it reminds me when i was playing with my band in the irish pub in Paris , this song is very much alive , like the  style.Regarding the mix , seems to be a live session , so i dont see that you can do better except by making a studio recording.But i like the ambiance of this song!

This is wicked.  I have to agree with the others about the recording quality, but I do like this.  It makes me want to dance.  Your vocals are excellent.

This song had me on my feet instantly.  I could picture a huge crowd dancing - just  going bezerk with the moves.  Gotta agree that the production quality needs some major improvement, but for an amateur recording it's pretty good.  I love your vocals, and I really liked the rhythm guitar in this.
