Wanna Get Down
*
Score: 76.8%
Rank: 8th
Battle: 2006-06

A campy, simple little song.  The recording quality is not the best, but hey - we all do what we can.  Looking forward to your honest feedback.

Our band is called Honey - we're currently recording our first full length.  This song is an older, unmixed version...recorded with some former band mates.  When the new one is done I'll pop it up.  Please vote!

A warm welcome to the amp!
well this is enjoyable, I figure this being played live in a bar of some sorts.

it's groovy yeah, even though the levels of the different instruments are off, so they are all blended in to form just one ... well, let's call it "river" of sound. enjoyable anyway by the way, I think you did a pretty good job. maybe the chorus could stand out a little more.... overall, it sounds like a live take. So who else is in the band, how long have you been together, and do you gig often?

cheers and good luck!

Simple and effective.

A nice live sounding version of a song - OK, it's a little messy in places, and perhaps needs a little more punch too.

I look forward to the "studio" version, and to your other musical posts!

Oh, and welcome

The title of this song is what made me listen to it in the first place.  Who doesn't "Wanna get down"??

This song has a very groovy feel to it, and does indeed make me want to cut a rug.  The lyrics are very simple, but in this case that's a good thing.  Good singing.  Liked the cowbell in the chorus. I also really liked how the bass popped right at the end.

Where in Canada are you?  Do you play anywhere near Toronto?

Reminds me...
...of when i lived in Vancouver. Very fun, and looking towards the cleaner (but not too clean) studio version.

Thanks.
