this song is very good as a song |
I like the song as a song , and I think it has alot of potential.
That said your guitar playings not real bad, just practice this song over and over again,
until you have it down real smooth. Play it the same way when you get ready to record.
don't back off of the guitar in the harder spots just smooth them out. You have a real good voice that's pleasing to listen too, just need to eq some presence in their, and don't be afraid to let out some more vocal emotion. The song writing is real good(would like to hear it with some more layers of sounds).

I'd rather have a loose, badly recorded song like this any day over 150 pro-sounding dance "instrumentals" which seems to is all we're getting around here anymore
This is your best song yet by far man. Your voice is much better and the melody is pretty good. I like the use of different instruments but they sound a little lost taking turns playing simple melodies over the same picking pattern. Consider adding something to flesh out the aural landscape -- some simple percussion (bongos, hands against the body of a guitar, anything) or maybe some non-arpeggiated chords on a different guitar or piano -- this will help the song build up more if you add them later.
I like it!
