A happy go lucky song. The first one I ever wrote long time back, something like 5 years ago.

I'm not usually into this kind of music... but this is really good! Some drums may be nice though..

A nice light song. I like the way the bass line steps around to compliment the guitar.
I think this would work well within a band.

Interstingly while everyone likes the song the rating is a woeful 50%

you cut off the end of some words...make the complete motion of the word with your mouth not just the general noise...the song would be better

Hey Songwriter, it's my personal opinion that ratings should have more to do with quality and performance rather than "liking" a song. I can say I like a lot of songs on bandamp but I find them hard to listen to bc of quality of sound and an "off" performance. That being said, you've got a good song. There are a lot of songs on bandamp that I don't "like" but when quality and performance are great, I try to be as objective as possible bc it is their expression. And that is the whole gray area of art, right? Well, that's my philosophy on rating music here.

I have the same opinion than Creative.  I think most of the songs here are unique and weather you personally like it or not they have to be respected.
I think the main difference is the recording quality so it's the one thing you can judge objectivly.
Anyway I like your song, it has a chilling feeling. The recording quality is OK - but if you can improve it, the song would sound even more "professional".
Yes, I know it's a hard thing to do... I've recorded about 12 songs but the recording is still poor, so I won't bother you too much with my stupid little opinion ;-)

The ratings are an overall rating, so if your recording quality isnt that good, members are gonna kill it. I do admit that it shouldnt matter, especially since we are all supposed to be amateurs here (except a few posing as) So maybe its time to beef up the equipment side, use some mixing software, record your songs on separate tracks, mix 'em up and put some time into producing the "package". You got the talent, now its time for some technology I guess.
