what effect do you use on the drums? is there a flanger on it? it makes me think of velvet revolver.

you heard that right, the drum track is mildly flanged. I did that to make it sound less mechanical as this song was part of a special sequence of songs I recorded in a row, using the same drumsounds in every song.

This song predates Velvet Revolver by a year or so, it's not unlikely that their sound was influenced by mine
