One Serious Song

Score: 80.0%
Rank: 1st
Battle: 2006-12

Created some time ago for the Stormrider project. I've tried to put in some '70 police-series feel into it, since the subject of the lyrics could have been derived from a '70-s police series episode plot. The vocals were deliberately mixed to background with a lot of reverb added to them because this is designed to be played REAL LOUD! (so you can actually hear what's being said, and be blasted away by the instrumental bits in the process!)

1 Serious Song Review
Groovy stuff.

As you sasid with the vocals being so low, i dig the idea but us plebs with small sound systems and grumpy neighbours will never enjoy the song the way it was intended! At a low volume it grooves very well anyway!

If you dropped the volume of the lead gtr so that it mingled better with the vocals, id be well impressed. Anyway, good stuff, keep it up. My girlfriend thinks it would be a cool computer game soundtrack

I like the fact that you have your own style. Keep it up. Tight stuff.

Not my style, but really well put together.  Rock on.  I would listen to this on a long drive to visit my buddies, blasting with the top down on the open road.  High energy. I think it should just end really abruptly at the end with the root chord.  Keep on keepin' on.

It reminds me of Girls Against Boys, that spoken word spikiness.....cuts its own groove and I really enjoyed listening to it.

Awsome Tonality!
I love the overall dynamic of this piece. i would like to hear the vocals for a part come clean of the reverb, but just for a part. i love the reverb in the beggening.
you have a great sound man - we should collaberate sometime. what do you work on?

Dude,

I thought I had heard all of your stuff on here, but somehow I missed this one....

WOW,

This is different, and really cool.... love the freaky lyrical style... goes good with this song especially... perhaps I could get you to do the vocals on my surface song....  hint hint nudge nudge...

Yeah!
Good for a police-series really. A like the song to much... a mix of british punk and something newer.
I want more like this!!

Very Cool
I really like the strive for drive in the song. Kind of like Bauhaus meets alice in chains
