FL Studio Tutorials!!
Learn to Write Your Own Music Using FL Studio!! An active forum member and contributor here at BandAmp, WillyDavidK, has created a series of tutorials for those who are trying to learn FL Studio. This series currently includes a 'basics trilogy' with 3 tutorials to cover all of the basic concepts in FL Studio, sure to get you started making music!! In the future this series may include some smaller tutorials over things you and our community request, or other neat things possible within FL Studio that are not commonly known.

If you haven't heard of or used FL Studio before, there is a free demo available from their website (click "TRY IT OUT!" in the upper left hand corner). Feel free to grab a copy and head over the tutorials to start making your own songs right away!

I think one would be required to purchase it off the FL Studio site, otherwise one might consider piracy... But BandAMP neither encourages nor supports allocating or installation of pirated software!!!

PIRACY
I guess 99% of bandamp users (if not 100%) use pirated software - what other choice do we have?

I luckily happened to buy some audio gear this week and some CDs came with it (Cubase, Sonar, Ableton) - I think this is the only way to stay clean without spending lots and lots of money. Or borrow a CD from someone who actually bought the desired software.

Well, This is a great place for you..... Here you will find alot of musicians, and many who are interested in doing collaborations...  Just join right in...  Check out the songs in the Audio Review... and get into the chat...  Post a request for collaboration....  Showcase your talents by recording something yourself, if you can.....  And let's hear what you got!

  Welcome to the Amp....

Nice.. I have always wanted to try Sonar out.... Have you tried it?  Is it any good? I also hear good things about Ableton, but then I hear alot of negative as well.... so I dunno....  But if you try Sonar, let me know what you think... I wouldn't mind trying that....

Free FL Studio???
For the guy who wanted a clean working version of FL Studio, the demo has all features working, including .wav and .mp3 export with no time limit. The only thing it will NOT do is save your projects. By downloading the installer, anything may be tried from these tutorials. If you want to save your projects (ie you like the program enough to keep working with it) do what I did and buy the software. I started out with the lowest end demo version and wound up buying the producer version with the lifetime upgrades option. The program was barely worth it in early version 2/3 - it is totally worth it now and keeps getting better.

But DON'T take my word for it. Try it. If you don't like it, uninstall it. This is a better deal than you'll get from Sonar or Logic...
