Glitch (A 2 year old recording)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyPDl1E_Uis&hd=1

An older tune I decided to record on camera after writing it.  Early that day I was just struck by lightning- extremely nice waitress at the sushi place and I didn't know what to do, what to say, how to act.  I was caught between action and staying still.

"Glitch" (2010)

I thought I'd feel okay when I saw you coming my way
My heart beats fast and slow
My thoughts fell down like dominoes
But I didn't look away

You turned and talked to me and I couldn't even reply
My words trapped in a treasure chest
I tried to hard to open it
I think I'm too late

Time is ticking and it's sifting like sand
The sand fell out of the hourglass
What felt like hours was just a glimpse
A glance at a glitch oh wasn't it

Should I run?
Should I walk away?
Should I go now?
Or should I stay?

Oh which choice will I make

[end]

The lyrics:

Time is ticking and it's sifting like SAND
The SAND fell out of the HOURglass
What felt like HOURS was just a glimpse
A glance at a glitch oh wasn't it

I like to do this in a lot of my poetry and songs where one word would carry from one phrase to the next.

Here's a snippet of a new song I'm writing:

The SEA is it bruised?
All I SEE is black and blue
In my inDEPTH look
Into the DEPTHS of the SEA

Just thought I'd share that.  Writing poetry is so fun It gives me goosebumps!

Thanks Kunadiun!

IanS... I think I have nearly 200 of these short ideas written and maybe 100 of them recorded.  Undercover Apple is really just the process of fleshing my short ideas out in indie pop form   Thanks for listening!

Just set it right for you, if you dont mind.

Lovely little ditty in deed. Your a pleasure to listen to.

Search engines are a bugger .... calling it Before Bed brings up all kinds of Interior Design related videos lol

Hope bandamp is one of many places where you upload your productions to, you are a talented song writer.

Thanks for the repair Kings lol!  It was a short lived project and I wish I continued to film myself playing but honestly I just got really lazy

MaxdB, thanks for listening

I actually went back to the restaurant and asked the waitress out but she said no

Better write more sad songs
