What's your favourite tempo?
Does the average tempo of your songs is a reflection of your life's rythm or is it the other way around?

Most of my songs are built on 100-150 bmp tempo... I know it's a pretty wide range, and so does my life works, with a lot of ups and downs (high ups and deep downs...)

So, wich are your best choices on tempo?

sorry for this post... it's late and I'm tired.

Personally my favorite tempos are from 132 to 140 and then 165 - 173....  Almost every track ive ever written has been in this range.  For me, I like motivating music for the most part.  When you get up around the 165 - 173 range you can write crazy percussion that syncopates with the main drum line and percussion.  The effect for me is positively envigorating!  Its hard not to move to stuff like that! And thats what im into! Music that bypasses your brain and makes your a$$ move!

I set the tempo that feels right, when experimenting I even notice the difference in a single measure.

I feel a little uncomfortable if it's not spot on.

There again it depends how I feel on the day.

In particular if your doing a live gig and your adrenelin is running high everybody seems so play faster.
